Foreword: Esskay presents the most modern & advanced drilling machines design. It has been built to meet the most exacting requirements of engineering and allied traders. It will handle efficiency at correct speeds in feet per minute. Such varied operation as drilling,tapping, trepanning, boring & counter boring etc. In cast iron, steel, plastics and other materials can easily be accomplished. It can accommodate either straight or taper shank tools.
Head: Aone piece of close-grain casting and robust design scientifically balanced and internally webbed for strength. By releasing locking handle head may be raised lowered or swung round to any position relative to base.
Gearing: Gears are mounted with either self-lubricating bronze bearing or journal ball bearing. The parts are precision machined and are of the best quality material. The speed changing mechanism is located on the top of machine. The gearing system is locked mechanically in position. The method of bringing back gear into operation is the same as used in the ordinary lathes with back gear. The first gear joined to the cone pulley is released by drawing out the pin with the thumb knob at the head of that pair. Similarly when it is necessary to run without the back gear, join the gear and the cone pulley by push in the thumb pin and unmeshing the knulred thumd at the head of that in reverse direction.
Spindle return: Effectual at end of stroke by means of flat coil spring. The tension of coil spring can easily be adjusted by set screw and locknut provided.
Base: Machined working surface strongly webbed underneath. Four holes are provided for grounding or bolting the machines to the bench.
Finish: All handles and levers are chrome plated and fitted with ebonite knobs. A light gray enamel of special quality is used on all necessary surface
